Serving Fairview

Massage Therapy for Fairview

Of every neighbourhood we serve, Fairview is the closest — our clinic sits right on its southern edge, on Granville Street. If you live here, or you work the wards at VGH, City Hall or an office along Broadway, a registered massage therapist is a short walk or two bus stops away.

Overview

Cascade Massage Therapy is one Registered Massage Therapy clinic at 201–3077 Granville St, sitting at the southern edge of Fairview. From West Broadway and Granville it's about a twelve-minute walk, or two stops on the #10 — VGH, City Hall and the Broadway offices are all close by. We direct-bill most extended health plans and accept ICBC. Book online through Jane App.

The neighbourhood on our doorstep

Fairview wraps around the clinic. We're on Granville Street right where the neighbourhood meets South Granville, which makes this the shortest trip of anywhere we cover — for a good part of Fairview, close enough to walk. That matters when a treatment is something you'd like to keep up regularly rather than save for a bad week.

Your therapist, always a Registered Massage Therapist, works with you alone in a quiet room, not on a spa floor. We work inside Envision Physiotherapy, a multidisciplinary clinic, so your therapist can compare notes with the physiotherapists, kinesiologists, pelvic floor physiotherapists and dietitians who work here, and make a referral within the clinic when that's the better fit. With VGH and the Broadway clinics just up the hill, that joined-up approach fits the neighbourhood.

Getting here from Fairview

On foot. From around West Broadway and Granville, it's roughly a twelve-minute walk south down Granville to West 15th. From the blocks nearest South Granville, less. We're at 201-3077 Granville St.

By transit. The #10 Granville runs south along Granville Street and stops a short walk from us — from the middle of Fairview, that's often just a couple of stops. Coming from the VGH or City Hall side, the #99 B-Line or #9 along Broadway connects you to Granville, then it's the #10 or a short walk south.

Parking and access. There's a parking garage off the back lane, plus metered and time-limited street parking on Granville and the side streets. The garage gate closes 7pm Mon–Fri and 3pm Sat, and is closed Sundays and stat holidays; the building's main entrance also locks after those times, so buzz 1201 on the intercom if you arrive later.

Steps from the hospital corridor

Fairview is hospital country — VGH, its satellite clinics and the Broadway medical buildings anchor the neighbourhood, with office floors filling the blocks between. The work done in them is physical in opposite ways: long stretches on your feet with real lifting in it, or hours at a workstation that settle into the neck and low back. Both patterns load the body quietly, a week at a time.

Massage can help take the edge off that everyday strain, and because you're close, it's realistic to come regularly rather than only when something seizes up. We're careful about what we promise: a treatment can ease muscular tension and support recovery, but it isn't a fix for an underlying medical condition, and your therapist will say so and point you elsewhere when that's the honest answer. If you spend your working life managing other people's health, we try to make looking after your own straightforward.

Services we offer

Fairview massage questions

For much of Fairview, yes. Our clinic sits right at the neighbourhood's southern edge on Granville Street, so from around West Broadway and Granville it's roughly a twelve-minute walk. If you're coming from further into the neighbourhood or from the VGH area, the #10 Granville is only a couple of stops. It's the closest of all the areas we serve.

For a private appointment you pay for yourself or claim through extended health, no referral is required in BC — you can book directly. A referral can matter for certain funded pathways: WorkSafeBC-funded massage, for example, requires a physician referral and an accepted claim. If your visit involves ICBC or a workplace claim, bring those details and we'll point you to the right process.

That's a common ask on this side of Broadway. Live availability, including early-morning and later-afternoon slots, is shown in Jane App, so you can book around a shift rather than the other way round, and rebook yourself online when a rotation changes. Being a short walk away means a session doesn't have to eat a whole day off.

Long shifts on your feet, or long stretches at a workstation, tend to load the low back, neck and shoulders. Deep tissue and therapeutic massage address that directly, and a treatment plan spaced over a few weeks often helps more than a single visit. Massage can help ease that everyday strain — it isn't a fix for an underlying medical condition, and your RMT will tell you if something is better seen by another practitioner.

Yes. We direct-bill most major extended health plans, so for many clients there's little or nothing to pay at the desk, and we accept ICBC patients. Bring your plan or claim details to your first visit and we'll handle the billing for you.
