A short trip east, across the Burrard Slopes
Our clinic sits just east of Kitsilano on Granville Street. From the beach end of Kits or up near West Broadway, it's the same short ride across the Burrard Slopes — close enough that a treatment slots into the rest of your day without much planning around it.
We're not a spa. You get one Registered Massage Therapist, one tranquil treatment room, and their full attention for the whole appointment, inside Envision Physiotherapy. Because Envision is a multidisciplinary clinic, your therapist can talk through your case with the physiotherapists, pelvic floor physiotherapists, kinesiologists and dietitians who work alongside us, and make a referral within the clinic when that's the smarter move. A nagging running injury, tension that's settled into your neck after months at a desk, or a day when you just need to switch off — we build the session around that, not around a fixed routine.
Getting here from Kitsilano
By car. From around West 4th and Arbutus, head east and south toward Granville Street. Five to ten minutes, give or take traffic and the bridge. We're at 201-3077 Granville St, near West 15th.
By transit. The #16 Arbutus runs down Arbutus Street, a block west of Granville, with stops a short walk from us. Coming from West Broadway, the #14 or the #99 B-Line will get you east to Granville, then it's a few blocks south on foot to West 15th. No transfers from most of Kits.
Parking. There's a parking garage off the back lane (the gate closes at 7pm Mon–Fri and 3pm Sat, and is closed Sundays and stat holidays), plus metered and time-limited street parking on Granville and the nearby side streets. Check the posted signs for current restrictions.
What active Kitsilano bodies tend to bring in
Kits runs on movement. The seawall is full of runners most mornings, the courts at the beach fill up through the summer, and there's a steady stream of road cyclists heading out along the water and yoga regulars coming off the mat. That kind of training leaves a familiar residue: tight calves and hips from mileage, a cranky shoulder from paddling or overhead work, a low back that tightens up after long rides, or a training block that ramped up faster than the tissue was ready for.
What usually helps is an RMT who reads your training load alongside the symptom, rather than just kneading the sore spot. Where a muscle is overworked, hands-on treatment can ease tension and support recovery between sessions. Where the problem is really how much you're loading and how fast, your therapist will say so, and because we share the clinic space with Envision Physiotherapy, can point you toward the physiotherapists or kinesiologists next door when strength or gait work is the smarter path. The aim is to keep you moving through the season, not to promise the tightness never comes back.
If you're carrying an injury from a crash rather than a workout, massage therapy is one of the treatments covered under British Columbia's coverage options, and we go through how that works below.
