Overview

Cascade Massage Therapy is one registered clinic at 201–3077 Granville St, Vancouver, on the #10 Granville bus route and a short trip from most of the West Side. From that single location we serve nine neighbourhoods — South Granville, Fairview, Olympic Village, Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant, Shaughnessy, Kerrisdale, East Vancouver and a short trip south of downtown Vancouver. Pick your neighbourhood below for directions, transit and parking.

One clinic, central to the West Side

We work out of a single clinic on Granville Street, inside Envision Physiotherapy in South Granville. It's a multidisciplinary practice, so your massage therapist shares the clinic space with physiotherapists, pelvic floor physiotherapists, kinesiologists and dietitians. If your treatment overlaps with what one of them does, we can coordinate the plan or make a referral within the clinic.

Being central to the West Side keeps us close to a lot of the city. Fairview is on our doorstep — close enough to walk. South Granville and Shaughnessy are minutes away, Kitsilano and Mount Pleasant a short trip either side, and Kerrisdale a straight run up Granville. From East Vancouver the Broadway corridor brings you across town, and from downtown Vancouver the #10 bus runs straight over the Granville Bridge to our door. Some clients walk over from the next street; others ride the bus or the Canada Line in from further out. The neighbourhood pages spell out the route from each starting point.

Wherever you're coming from, the practical questions are usually the same: what your plan covers and how billing works. We direct-bill most extended health plans and accept ICBC. If you're recovering from a crash, our guide to ICBC massage therapy in Vancouver explains how the funded sessions work; for the wider picture across extended health, MSP and WorkSafeBC, see massage therapy coverage in BC.

How to find a good RMT near you

“Near me” is a reasonable place to start, but the closest clinic is not automatically the right one. In British Columbia the title Registered Massage Therapist is legally protected, and only an RMT’s treatment is reimbursed by most extended health plans. Three checks are worth making before you book anywhere:

  • Confirm the registration. Every RMT in BC holds a registration number and appears on the CCHPBC public register. If a name is not listed, they are not an RMT in BC.
  • Check the travel, not just the distance. A clinic ten blocks away on a direct bus route is often faster to reach than one closer on paper. Each neighbourhood page above sets out the route, the walk and the parking.
  • Ask how billing works. Direct billing means you are not out of pocket at the desk. We bill more than 20 insurers and accept ICBC claims.

One clinic. We work out of a single location at 201-3077 Granville St, inside Envision Physiotherapy in South Granville. The neighbourhood pages on this site describe how to reach that one clinic from different parts of Vancouver — they are not separate offices.

Yes to both. There is metered street parking on and around Granville Street, and the clinic is a short walk from frequent bus routes on Granville and Broadway, with the Canada Line nearby. Each neighbourhood page above gives the practical getting-here details for your starting point.

We direct-bill most extended health plans, so you usually only pay the portion your plan doesn't cover. We also accept ICBC claims. Your massage is delivered by a Registered Massage Therapist, which is what makes it eligible for extended health coverage.

Search the CCHPBC public register for their name, or ask for their registration number and check it appears on your receipt alongside their name and RMT designation. Only treatment delivered by a Registered Massage Therapist is reimbursed by most BC extended health plans, and insurers verify that number when you submit a claim.
